Teaching as your adventure

Are you keen to impact the lives of students and inspire them to reach their full potential? Do you have a strong passion for nurturing the next generation of young learners?

If your answer is yes, then join us in shaping the future in the classroom!

As an educator, you'll do more than just impart knowledge - you'll shape young minds and nurture character, preparing them for the journey of life. Join a community of teachers who are not just educators at heart, but also mentors, learners and innovators, dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of students.

Why join us as a Teacher?

A purpose-driven adventure

Embark on a purpose-driven journey by joining MOE as a teacher. Teaching is a career filled with purpose, where every word spoken sparks curiosity, every encouragement fuels dreams, and every guidance shapes young minds. It's a path of empowerment and influence, where you'll play a crucial role in unlocking the potential of every child.

As a teacher, you'll ignite possibilities and champion the futures of your students and yourself. Join us in this fulfilling vocation, where you'll advocate for growth, dreams, and voices, shaping the future every step of the way.

A positive impact, in your own way.

As a teacher, you have the opportunity to champion emerging fields and meaningful causes. Bring your passion and personal interests into your lessons, where appropriate, whether it's leveraging technology to create exciting learning experiences or fostering social and environmental awareness through class projects or school-wide initiatives. You can shape and influence students' learning in your own unique way.

Structured career pathways, catered to your aspirations.

Career pathways As you progress in your career in the Education Service, you may have a different aspiration from your fellow teachers. As such, the Ministry has three career tracks for you to develop and progress along different fields of excellence, namely the Teaching, School Leadership and Senior Specialist Track. Find out more here.

Furthermore, the professional development opportunities and career pathways within the ministry are diverse, catering to your needs and passions. There are opportunities for you to take on new roles, such as cross-level deployment e.g. Secondary school to Primary school transfer, or lateral transfer to an adjacent role, e.g., from a Teacher to a School or Education and Career Guidance Counsellor (ECGC).

Dynamic and evolving profession, nurturing your growth and development.

Teaching is an exciting and constantly evolving profession that offers enduring opportunities for personal and professional development. We offer enriching opportunities for you to gain new knowledge, transferable skills, and essential competencies, both in and out of the classroom. We value and acknowledge those who make long-term commitments to the teaching profession, providing both intrinsic and extrinsic recognition for their dedication.

Teaching is not about providing answers
